Default Even though God doesn't care about football

who here has found him saying when a game is going badly,

"Geeze I know you don't care, but I wish you did, because they could really use your help. Never mind, they figured it out."

Default If God doesn't care about football,

does that mean we can do away with the opening prayer at the games? For that matter, why do we have an opening prayer, but no closing prayer?
