Jimmer Freddette
I just saw a little clip:
http://www.poststar.com/sections/spo...ideo/gf.ap.mov How quick is he? Is he quick enough to guard Heath et al. in Div I? The game in the video didn't look like basketball. It looked like a game of horse with officials. |

Heath is a senior, so you won't have to worry about Fredette guarding him.

The guy can dunk it, which has already dispelled all my previous assumptions.

well, it's hard to be less athletic than Austin Ainge, so given that he can dunk, he might be a step up in that department.
I hope his decision making is good. I'd love for him to make an immediate impact. |

What the hell kind of highlight video is that? That looked like a trailer for Hoosiers. I swear I saw Jimmy Chitwood. I was half expecting Jimmer's father to stumble onto the floor drunk.

That was the slowest game of basketball I've ever seen. Maybe Jimmer looks better playing with better competition, but he looks slow and uninterested on defense. Rose is going to have to break him before he's ready to compete at the D1 level. I was counting on Jimmer to be our starting point guard, leading a team of Plaisted, JT, Lee, Burgess, and Otero back to the big dance. It's a short clip that probably shouldn't change anyone's view of him, but maybe I shouldn't count on that anymore. |
