Some interesting games next year: @Gonzaga, @Oregon & @Cal, Home against USU, Santa Clara & Fresno St (Cleveland Returns!)
Also some other good information as well. Sounds like Boylan is getting his program together. http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,660227163,00.html

Boylan is one coach who you can tell just gets it. Just gets it in general.
He's gonna be very good for your program.

I find the scheduling of Gonzaga, after knowing that Giacolletti went there is an interesting move. Then again, Gonzaga is one of the top programs in the West, and if you want to recruit against them, you might as well prove you can hang with them on the court.

I really like the scheduling. The home schedule is not terrific, but you can see that it will obviously improve. I want the Utes to be aggressive with their scheduling and Boylen sees it.
I would love to see 2-3 PAC-10 games a year as well as 2-3 other BCS conference games. Giac didn't want to get big name games...Majerus didn't mind 2-3 a year, but he also loved the 4-5 crappy teams...I want some good games throughout the year. Get the Utes prepared for the tourney. Kudos to Boylen for this schedule. |
