Default I am now officially moving to Houston

I am moving to Houston as soon as I find a house. For those of you privy to the friends only exclusionary practice on CB (and specifically my friends list), you already know this.

Anything I should know about Houston that I don't know already? Other than the firearm and cowboy hat quotas?

Be sure to buy something that is both anti-perspirant and deoderant. It's rather humid there.

It's "rather" humid lots of places. Houston in the summer is like being underwater.

So there'll be no need to come and crash your pool on the weekends?

Hurricanes, humidity, mildew, mosquitoes.
Great town!

No, seriously, good luck with the move. I've got a friend down there working for NASA. He seems to like it well enough.

Can your friend get me a ride on a space shuttle sometime? That would be the ultimate in cool.

Or is he more like Don Knotts and is a janitor?

He's one of those flight controllers like you see in Apollo 13. I'm super super jealous.

I wanna get a job in the NASA library but Flash says he'd move to hell before he'd move to Houston (apparently he prefers a dry heat).

You know you're welcome anytime. And of course, we have a place for you during the next hurrican evacuation.

But as you can see from the avatar, the pool is pretty dry right now. They are supposedly plastering tomorrow. Yeah right.

Now that would be one of those jobs I'd put in the "really cool" category, right there with being the guy who drives a train and golf club tester.

Lots of dry heat here in Salt Lake and you did say you like the pics of the main library.
