bluegoose is on a distinguished road
Default Stage II (spoiler)

I can't wait til the evening and followed the last 15-20 minutes on the internet this morning. Its actually exciting reading the updates every minute or so, much moreso than I expected.

It always amazes me how well the peleton is able to calculate their catch of the breakaway. How many times have we seen them reel them in within the last km or 2?

It sucks to be Boonen. Gets beat to the line by his own guy.

why does Zabriske act like such an ass during all his interviews? he clearly doesn't want to be in the TdF nor anywhere in Europe for that matter. he's talked about the TdF being a great way to just get in shape for mountain biking in utah.

Dave Z has an off-the-wall deadpan sense of humor. Take things he says with a grain of salt.

Boonen was possibly unhappy, but Belgium is ecstatic. Steegman is a big shot there. It would be like Scottie Pippen hitting the game winner instead of Michael Jordan. MJ might be piqued, but on balance the home crowd is ecstatic. Recall, this was in Ghent (which is one of my favorite places in Europe, beleive it or not; the Castle of the COunts of Flanders and its torture devices museum is nto to be missed).

There is a cloud of shit over Europe. It's called socialism.
