Having son's between the ages of 12 to 19 will get you to the priesthood session. I've got two more years and then I may take a break for a while.

that's not my problem. They did what they thought was best for them and their families. How am I to argue with that?

If they don't get anything out of that meeting, I agree, why go? So they could engage in a 'theological scrum" on Monday morning? Best take away from Conference. Theological scrum! I loved it.

it's the mullahs who demand orthodox interpretations of everything. so I wouldn't be so happy about that phrase, if I were you.

I don't care how much you donate in fast offerings, if you have people freezing to death in your streets while you campaign against a homeless shelter, that's a moral problem.
I think part of the charge people get about watching conference is that it pumps them up "spiritually." It is the equivalent of Knute Rockne asking us to Win one for the Gipper. We all jump to our feet, run down the tunnel, and onto the field. Then we proceed to fumble the ball.

Truthfully, messages about staying out of ridiculous debt....why are they powerful? Unless some people here are taking on ridiculous debt, I guess.

It would be like sitting through a talk admonishing us to not smoke cigarettes. I have no desire to smoke heaters, so that particular talk would not be very powerful to me. In fact, that is right about when I would start text messaging people.

Just send them off by themselves. Tell them you have better things to do and you can read about the talks in about 1 hour when they come out in the Ensign.

It is because you were there. Once you left, the homeless people came back.

Probably for the best. You were not doing a good job of making your point.

was hillarious. It describes many on this board. Especially when he tied it to the 'internet'.

The apostles are now mullahs? I get it.
