It all boils down to whether you think Bruce R. McConkie == official church policy. If you do then you shouldn't play with face cards. If you don't, then play away.

My personal take - no problem. Heck, I've even been known to play Texas Hold 'Em (poker) with people who also engaged in the unpardonable sin of drinking alcohol. This was even post-GBH-talk-in-Priesthood-meeting!
